Safety Sabbath is March 29th
Ensuring the safety of our congregations is a vital responsibility, and we invite your church to participate in this year’s Annual Safety Sabbath Exercise - Sabbath March 29, 2025. This year, we are focusing on a Missing Child Drill—a critical preparedness activity that will equip your church with the knowledge and response plan needed should such an unfortunate event ever occur.
What is Safety Sabbath?
Safety Sabbath is an annual initiative that encourages churches to conduct emergency preparedness exercises, strengthening their ability to respond effectively to crises. By participating, your church will take an important step toward protecting our members—especially the youngest among us.
How to Participate:
Register your church at this link.
Engage your congregation in learning what steps to take if a child goes missing.
Share your experience with us by submitting your activity report at Safety Sabbath Survey Link.
Why This Matters:
A missing child scenario is one of the most urgent and time-sensitive situations a church can face. Having a well-prepared response can mean the difference between a swift, safe resolution and a prolonged crisis. This drill will empower your church with a clear, practiced action plan to handle such incidents effectively.
We encourage you to register your church’s participation today and help create a safer worship environment for all.
