First Millsboro SDA Church Shines at 46th Annual Nanticoke Pow Wow
On the weekend of September 7-8, 2024, the Native American Ministries of First Millsboro SDA Church participated as a non-profit vendor at the 46th Annual Nanticoke Pow Wow. This marked another successful year of outreach, with the church being the only religious non-profit continuing to have a presence at the event.
One of the highlights at the booth this year was a new interactive feature, *"Test Your Bible Knowledge,"* which drew in over 300 visitors. Participants spun a wheel to answer Bible-related questions and win prizes, making the booth a hub of activity. Alongside the game, free literature was provided, including *The Great Controversy, Ministry of Healing,* and E.G. White's writings. Church contact information was also readily available.
Additionally, the booth shared important information about crimes against U.S. Postal Service workers and upcoming legislation aimed at improving their protection.
Children who stopped by were delighted to receive gold gift bags filled with Jesus-themed coloring books, colored pencils, and bubbles, ensuring they left with both fun and faith-focused materials.
The Native American Ministries team, including Karin Harmon, James Trower, DeVon Edwards, Diane Jones, and Karen Hamlin, has already begun planning for 2025, with the goal of expanding their reach and continuing to serve as a beacon in the community.
