Berea Temple Hosts Health Explosion

Community Service and Health Ministries of Berea Temple recently hosted a Health Explosion, fostering healthy habits and lifestyles while engaging the community.  The health fair provided a forum for attendees to learn more about preventive health measures, practical tips to maintain a healthy lifestyle, the importance of routine checkups and a taste of healthy food options. We also offered various free health screenings with special mention of free Carotid Artery Ultrasound, which was administered by our very own Elder Ronald Timpson.

The Expo provided something for every age and every interest and engaged, entertained, educated and empowered families to act and make choices to be healthier.  The explosion relayed essential information about the human body and its functions in a fun and interactive way, as we united effort with Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore City Department of Housing & Community Development, Department of Aids, Total health Now, LLC, HealthCare Access Maryland, HIV/STD Services, Vegan and vegetarian chefs and entrepreneurs.

Community Services, our pastor and first lady Maurice N. and Jacqueline Taylor, and members delight in being kingdom builders helping to prepare mind, body and souls for the second coming of Christ.

Berea Temple’s health fair was an opportunity for evangelistic ministry. Simply hosting this health fair conveyed the message to our community, letting them know we care about their well-being.

Galatians 6:10 reminds us “Let us do good to everyone”.
