AEC Leaders Attend PELC 2024
Over 60 AEC leaders and pastors attended the annual Pastors Evangelism and Leadership Conference (PELC) held in Hunstville, Alabama, December 8-11th.
The theme was “Jesus: Praise Him. Practice Him. Preach Him.” The annual conference provides training and professional development on evangelism and church leadership and is the largest Adventist annual pastoral conference in the NAD. The leaders who attended this impactful conference and received training to enhance their local ministries.
Dr. D. Robert Kennedy was recognized on Sunday, December 8th during the Awards program at PELC for his over 50 years of ministry, 20 of them with AEC. He is currently the pastor of the Emmanuel Worship Center, Alexandria, VA. His wife, June, was by his side, and his children and grandchildren were in the audience. Kennedy is scheduled to retire from AEC in the near future.
One of the featured speakers for the conference was AEC's own, Dr. Noah Washington, who delivered a Spirit-filled and empowering message entitled, “Where is Jesus?” He ended his message with an appeal for attendees to reconnect to developing their relationship with Jesus.

Dr. John Alberty, Superintendent of AEC Schools met with superintendents from other regional conferences and shared the latest updates in education.
The Richardson family had a table to share their recently published books with attendees.
Retired AEC Pastor Nick Taliaferro presented a seminar on ministering to the marginalized.
AEC employees also enjoyed a meal together at Grille on Main in Huntsville on Tuesday.
