The Mount Sinai Church (Trenton) Hosts Community Health Fair
On Sunday, August 25th, The Mount Sinai Church held its annual Community Health Fair, attracting a diverse crowd from the surrounding area and church members alike. The event offered something for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest attendees. Children enjoyed face painting, bounce houses, and various games, while others indulged in treats like popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, and burgers.
Local vendors from the City of Trenton provided free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, mammograms, prostate, dental and eye screenings. Additionally, there were generous food donations and free giveaways that further enriched the day.
The atmosphere was one of fellowship, fun, and a focus on healthy living. Many attendees left feeling blessed by the experience. One couple from the community shared their gratitude, expressing how much they enjoyed the event and their intention to return to the church because of it.
Beatrice, one of the event organizers, reflected on the success of the fair, stating, "The Mount Sinai Church's Community Health Fair was a meaningful initiative with clear objectives. By focusing on community engagement, assessing needs, and demonstrating the church's readiness to address those needs, we made a strong impact."
The goal of the event was to establish connections with the community, provide resources for the community, perform a needs assessment, and showcase the church’s readiness to address gaps in health and wellness in our local community.
"We are thankful for the opportunity to share the health message with others and for the positive impact it has had. We look forward to continuing this important work and building on the success of our efforts," Beatrice added.
The Mount Sinai Community Health Fair was a day of unity, health, and hope, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
