Spanish Churches Use Small Groups for Big Impact
On Saturday, March 29, in Zone I (Delaware and Maryland), belonging to the Spanish Ministry of Churches of the Allegheny East Conference, the small group meeting called "Saving Lives, Multiplying Hope" was held, organized by the 7 churches and congregations that comprise it.
Small groups are the foundation of Christian endeavor, and they were guided by the Holy Spirit and led by the pastors and directors who enhanced the event. Within the framework of Pentecost 2025 and Give me 5, the program was developed as part of the preparation and commitment of the small groups to fulfill the mission. It was a time of celebration and gratitude, because 10 new small groups were added from the churches of Greensboro (8) and Easton (2) joining the other small groups from the churches of Georgetown (8), Millsboro (6), El Deseado (2), Templeville (6) and Getsemaní Dover (4). Making a total of 35 small groups for the honor and glory of our God.
Pastor Ramón Escalante, our coordinator of the AEC Spanish Ministry of Churches, shared the Word of God, motivating, inspiring, and challenging each of the participants. Prayer was offered for them, their families, and their small groups.
It was an exciting afternoon, watching the various testimonies presented by the leaders and, finally, the parade of each small group with their ideals and baptism goals to achieve this year. In total, there are more than 100 people for Christ, whom the 35 small groups long to lead to the waters of baptism and the kingdom of heaven.
The program concluded with the installation of the new small group leaders, who received their new group's birth certificate to commemorate this momentous occasion, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction on this missionary journey.
In this way, all our churches are working and experiencing the blessings of small groups, which are more than a missionary strategy; they are a lifestyle.
At the close of the program, the pastors and leaders thanked God for his wonders and the opportunity he has given them to live like the early church, sharing the message of Jesus' Second Coming in different locations throughout Zone I, where the Small Groups are scattered like bright lights in the darkness.
Small Groups, Big Blessings! Saving Lives, Multiplying Hope!
