“Praise Report” Eld. Michael Cox
Yesterday ( 1/23/24) after leaving my client's house around 3:15 p.m., I was traveling toward DC on Pennsylvania Avenue extended. I had stopped at the stop light at Branch Avenue and Auth Way when I heard sirens from police cars coming my way, and then, all of a sudden, I heard a crash. It appeared that someone had stolen a car was trying to outrun the police. A few minutes earlier, I had seen the police on the other side of the street going toward Clinton. The suspect had made a u-turn and was headed my way toward DC.
The suspect tried to outrun the police by squeezing their car through the lane where my car was and the one beside me. They had been slamming into other cars behind us, and finally ended up wedged between my car and the car next to me.
I had nowhere to go, and when I looked up to my left, I saw two Prince George’s County cops, with guns drawn, standing next to the driver’s side of my car door and in front of my fender on the left hand side pointing their guns at the suspect in car right beside me.
A host of other police officers ran up to the car on the passenger side and dragged them out of the car. The praise report is that God spared my life in a situation that could have been fatal. No guns were fired by the police or the suspect.
What a mighty God we serve, for when we pray before we leave our houses in the morning, or our jobs after a day of work, that God will protect us and answer our prayers!
"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will. answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."
Isaiah 65:24.
