PFA Welcomes 85 Attendees for Academy Day

On Monday, November 18th, Pine Forge Academy hosted its fall Academy Day, welcoming 85 prospective students, parents, and chaperones.

Attendees arrived in cars, buses, and SUVs, coming from academies and homes alike, eager for an unforgettable taste of the Pine Forge Academy experience. Attendees received a PFA swag bag at check-in followed by a continental breakfast in the cafeteria.

The opening ceremony, held in the Pine Forge Church, included a rousing and interactive praise and worship service. Chaplin Jachin Holness gave a devotional thought followed by greetings from Jessica Crichlow, student recruitment director; Dr. David Martin, principal; Dr. Trevor Kinlock, AEC president; and Dr. John Alberty, superintendent of schools.

After a review of the schedule, academy day attendees broke into groups led by two PFA students from the class of 2025 for the next portion of the day. Prospective students visited classrooms for an academic overview while parents gathered in the library for an information session on academics, finances, and the admissions process.

In the gymnasium, they enjoyed a sports and extracurricular activities fair. A voice lesson masterclass was also offered in the boys dormitory, Handy Hall. Lunch was provided, followed by a general campus tour.

The experience concluded in the church with a spiritual life and fine arts showcase, featuring a string ensemble, voice students, as well as creative arts ministry and the choir. After a few closing remarks, attendees were on their way.
