Mt. Zion Miracle Station SDA Church Empowers Community Through Health Fair
Under the leadership of Pastor Carlos McConico, Mt. Zion Miracle Station Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Wilmington, Delaware, recently organized a Health Fair, bringing together the community for a day of celebration and wellness.
Health Fair Leader Patricia Pompey spearheaded the initiative, reaching out to the healthcare community to join in fostering a healthier neighborhood. Located just four blocks from Kirkwood Park, the church became a hub for promoting overall well-being.
The Mt. Zion Community Service Department generously provided free food, nurturing both bodies and a sense of community. The Women’s Ministry offered a holistic approach to well-being, catering to the mind, body, and heart.
Children were engaged through the Children’s Ministry, where playful activities and crafts emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle from an early age. The Personal Ministries department connected with the community spiritually, offering Bible study sign-ups and addressing questions.
Pastor McConico took the opportunity to conduct a community child dedication, symbolizing the church's commitment to the growth and well-being of the next generation.
As the event concluded, Sharon Green, the Health Fair Assistant, recognized participating vendors with certificates of participation, expressing gratitude for their contributions.
