Emmanuel St. Leonard Church Hosts Ministry Appreciation Day
Sabbath, December 2, was a HIGH DAY at St. Leonard Emmanuel SDA Church! They celebrated their second annual Ministries’ Appreciation Day. This day is dedicated to recognizing the value and contributions of each ministry in the church.
On this day, each ministry leader takes a “break,” a day off, and sits with their family during the church service as the church focuses on the various ministries. Pastor Trevor Donaldson says, “We so appreciate the time and energy that each ministry leader puts into the church and the sacrifice that they make to the church until we want to pause and say, we recognize that what your ministry contributes to the church is valuable and the church is immensely grateful for your service, and we thank you.”
During the service, Pastor Donaldson shared a video, which highlighted the year-long results of the services from various ministries. The video showcased that during the 2023 year, the church:
held three Outfitting the Community events, which allowed the church to outreach and
donate hundreds of items and food to people in the community;experienced unprecedented Growth, as the church grew by 15 members through
baptisms, transfers, and profession of faith;held an awesome Fellowship Game Night at one of the recent member’s home, which
drew in over 20 children (including children from the community);held two powerful virtual Weeks of Prayer
Pastor Donaldson preached a gospel-gripping message entitled “Scars of Service.” This powerful sermon and service was followed by a delicious catered luncheon. It was truly a wonderful day.
