Church of the Oranges Sanctuary Renovation Celebration

Our Church of the Oranges in Orange, NJ held its Sanctuary Renovation Celebration this past Sabbath, June 10th. Special guests included the mayor of Orange, New Jersey, Dwayne D. Warren, Esq, Dr. Dave Weigley, Columbia Union President, and several other supporting pastors from the area. Senate Chaplain Barry Black was the featured speaker. Guests entered the church in a palm-waving processional, a vision the pastor, Errol T. Stoddart, had for the celebration.

“I always had a vision that when we renovated the church we would have a grand processional to mimic the Feast of the Tabernacle, waving palm branches as we entered,” says Stoddart.

Some of the sanctuary renovations included the installation of three new monitors, new carpet, updated pews, new lighting, including computer-controlled production lights for plays and concerts. They also upgraded their electricity to 650 watts. They also ran the electricity in such a way that the church will be able to provide electric vehicle charging stations and elevators.

They also redid the lights surround the dome which features a picture of the three angels painted by the late, Beverly Miles. More renovations included redoing the floors, in various ministries offices, upgrading the sound system, and relocating their media and communication station.
