Cedars Host Food Drive Resurrection Weekend

Our personal ministries department, led by Constance Yancey, put together a food drive for the community in celebration of Resurrection weekend. Volunteers assisted in assembling food bags with essentials that would provide families with the opportunity to prepare a wonderful holiday meal. 

Sis. Yancey also established relations with others in the community, including other churches whose members assist in delivering food drop-offs to those who are long distance as well. This effort is just an extension of their “ Five Loaves and Two Fishes” food pantry ministry. Every third Sunday of the month (and some Sabbaths if it falls on a holiday), Cedars invites the community to come out along with joining us for service. The “ Five Loaves and Two Fish ministry is one of the vital outreach resources in helping them build relationships in the community as they share the love of Jesus.
