Prison Ministries Hosts Annual Retreat

Over 35 prison ministries leaders and supporters gathered together at the LaDore Retreat and Conference Center on June 23-25th. The theme for the weekend was “You Can Be Free in 2023.”

Friday evening vespers were led by Colin Brathwaite, Ministries Development Director, and the keynote speaker was Dr. Mark McCleary.

Metro DC Chapter, President Louis Williams, performed a dramatic presentation of “Courtroom Scene in Judgement” where Jesus our defense attorney never lost a case.

Sabbath afternoon, participants enjoyed a delicious fellowship meal and a brief nature walk.  We reconvened and participated in a communion service facilitated by Pastor Brathwaite and designated elders, deacons, and deaconesses.  Following communion, they took part in an anointing service and intercessory prayers for those sick among us.  They also gave tributes to AECPF Parliamentarian Tillman Peck, as well as others who have recently been laid to rest.
