PFA’s National Alumni Association Hosts Its 48th Alumni Weekend

The National Pine Forge Academy Association held its 48th alumni weekend on September 1st-3rd on Pine Forge Academy’s campus. The theme was “Stronger Together.”

The weekend kicked off with a “Gaither-styled” Homecoming concert on Friday, September 1st in the Pine Forge Church, featuring musical presentations from alumni representing various decades. One highlight was the class of 1983 presenting a check for $40,000 to the school.

On Sabbath, September 2nd, under the pavilion, they held Sabbath School followed by the an honor class celebration, and then divine worship. The speaker was Evelyn Fordham Goodman from the class of 1993.

That evening, they premiered the documentary, “Pine Forge, Your Sons and Daughters",” which was followed by their alumni awards ceremony. Honorees included Dr. Sydney Freeman, Jr. (‘03), Connie Smith Hall (‘88), Dexter Fields (‘83), Hon. Lisette Shirdan-Harris (‘73), Dr. Jason Max Ferdinand, and Pastor Joel Johnson, (‘73).

Later that night, there was an alumni Basketball Basketball Game and game night. On Sunday morning, they held their annual business meeting.
