Pastor Appreciation Surprise for Pastor Kimani
On October 28th, the Edmondson Heights SDA church family took time to show our appreciation for our pastor, Lee Kimani. Pastor Kimani actually planned to honor various ministry leaders for their leadership during the COVID pandemic. We were fortunate to also have our conference president on hand to assist in giving out the awards. Little did Pastor Kimani know, we had also planned to honor him. So, each member was given a greeting card and told to add messages of appreciation for the pastor. Once the pastor's spotlight was over and he had given out all of his awards, we had him stay in place and told the members to bring their cards forward. So, each member came forward and put their gifts and cards in a bag that was placed in front of the pastor. He was SO surprised. We also did our monthly free food distribution on that day and served the community until we ran out of food. Pastor Robinson also pitched in before going inside to prepare to preach. It was a wonderful day of service, love and appreciation.
