Dr. Cheryl Chavers, Newport News Police Department Domestic Violence Specialist, was recently presented with an award from the ABZ Dove Foundation as "2024 Community Partner" for her work in domestic violence prevention. Dr. Odessa Ochoa-Cavazos, CEO ABZ Dove Foundation, presented Dr. Chavers with this award at the Foundation Gala last week. Congratulations!

The ABZ Dove Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated~Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter, located in Newport News/Hampton, Virginia. The ABZ Dove Foundation was founded to support the community service programs and higher education efforts of the underserved and underprivileged in the Newport News/Hampton, Virginia area.
