On Wednesday, August 23rd, Claudia Allen, one of our pastors at Emmanuel-Brinklow (Ashton, Maryland) was honored as one of the 2023 Leading Women Under 40 by The Daily Record, Maryland’s statewide trusted news resource featuring the latest daily business.

According to their website, “Leading Women identifies women who are 40 years old or younger for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. They are judged on professional experience, community involvement and their commitment to inspiring change. Winners are selected by a judging panel made up of some of last year’s Leading Women honorees and a representative from The Daily Record.”

Allen was nominated by her administrator Yolanda F. Sonnier of Howard County Office of Human Rights & Equity, where Allen serves as the community outreach supervisor. “I am humbled by each of the individuals who wrote recommendation letters of support. I am still not sure I’ve fully processed this honor. It’s a pleasure, a joy, and a privilege to make a significant impact on people’s live. May more of us dare to be a Daniel in our excellence in leadership, service to others, and a commitment to social change,” says Allen.
